Certificate in Construction Management QLS Level 1

Our Level 1 Construction Management Classes online incorporate the following 3 units.

Unit 1: Introduction to Construction Management

This unit exposes candidates to the fundamentals of construction management such as its meaning, purposes and key principles. Candidates are also taken through the various responsibilities of a construction manager and then proceeds to reveal the best practices and ethical behaviour required of a construction manager to successfully manage resources and produce excellent results.

Unit 2: Site Organisation in Construction Industry

In unit 2, candidates are exposed to the developmental and organisational phases of construction projects. Here, candidates learn how construction managers take control of the site from the project initiation phase to project closing phases, by effectively managing people and other vital resources.

Unit 3: Management of Construction Materials

The course comes to an end with a discussion on the essence of construction material management including ensuring that the right materials are selected and purchased promptly and at a reasonable cost, ensuring that materials are available when needed. Candidates are also exposed to the likely challenges of construction materials and how to combat them.

Upon completing the course, candidates are able to pursue a wide range of careers such as Building Inspectors, Construction Assistants, Coordinators or Project Assistants. Annual salary ranges from £15,000 to £30,000.

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from the Quality Licence Scheme and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
