Certificate in Accounting and Finance QLS Level 2

This course consists of the following four units.

Unit 1: An Overview of Accounting

The first unit takes an in-depth look into the history of accounting and its evolution, the various aspects of accounting, the key players in the accounting sector, their roles and the importance of excellent accounting services in an organisation.

Unit 2: Key Financial Reports

Module 2 focuses on explaining the key financial documents used in recording cash flow and cash generated. These critical reports include the cash flow statement, the balance sheet, and the income statement.

Unit 3: Tools for Financial Analysis

The course shifts its focus to another core topic which reveals and explains the various tools used in making accurate financial analysis. At the end of this unit, candidates are able to utilise graphs, charts, financial reports, ratio analysis, vertical analysis etc., to make crucial decisions.

Unit 4: Budgeting - Practical Money Skills

The course concludes with an explanation of the concept of budgeting. Course contents cover the various types of budgeting, where and how they are applied, the budgeting processes as well as the importance of budgeting.

This course presents candidates with the opportunity to take up entry to mid-level roles in accounting. Positions candidates may find include junior project accountants, accounts clerk, cashiers, accounting assistants and various others. The annual average salary for candidates in this range is around £30,000.

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from the Quality Licence Scheme and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
