This course consists of the following units:

Unit 1 – Working in a Salon
This unit introduces the daily operations of a beauty salon, focusing on hygiene, teamwork, and customer service. It helps learners understand professional behaviour and salon etiquette.

Unit 2 – Related Anatomy and Physiology
Learn the basic structure and function of the skin, nails, and muscles. This knowledge supports safe and effective beauty treatment application.

Unit 3 – Skin Analysis and Facial Treatment
Understand how to assess different skin types and conditions through analysis. Learn the correct techniques for performing professional facial treatments.

Unit 4 – Application of Makeup
Gain practical skills in makeup application for various occasions. This includes product selection, blending techniques, and enhancing facial features.

Unit 5 – Manicure and Pedicure
Learn the essentials of nail care, including shaping, cuticle work, and polishing. This unit also covers health, hygiene, and client comfort during treatments.

The Certificate in Beauty Therapy and Salon Management QLS Level 3 provides a strong foundation for entry-level careers in the beauty industry. Graduates can pursue roles such as junior beauty therapist, salon assistant, makeup artist, or nail technician in salons, spas, or wellness centres. The course also supports those aiming to become freelance beauticians or provide mobile beauty services. With further study or experience, learners can progress to advanced roles or open their own salon. This certificate is ideal for anyone looking to begin a rewarding career in beauty therapy and grow professionally in the personal care sector.

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from the Quality Licence Scheme and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
