The level 4 Diploma in Business Administration is divided into ten units:

UNIT 1: An Outline of Business Environment

Unit 1 is an introduction to business administration, focusing on business environments. It explains the several factors that can affect a business either positively or negatively, gives the functions and different types of business environments.

UNIT 2: Basic Principles of Administration

This is also an introduction to business administration, it is directed at the basic principles to follow in administration and gives the benefits of following these principles. It teaches further on administration and explains more on interpreting and effecting policies.

UNIT 3: Human Resource Management

This unit describes human resources, its definition, the significance and methods of providing these resources. It also points out the roles and functions of the human resources department in an organization.

UNIT 4: Managing Staff Performance

Unit 4 explains the roles and responsibilities of all the staff in a firm or organization and how to ensure these roles and responsibilities are carried out properly to yield productivity. It teaches candidates about the attention given to the staff in an organization.

UNIT 5: Managing Financial Resources

The fifth talks about the different resources required to run a business and focuses on financial resources. It gives easy methods to provide these resources, the importance of these resources to the business and how to manage and control the use of these resources.

UNIT 6: Effective Marketing Strategies

This unit defines marketing, what it entails, the different roles, responsibilities and importance of the marketing department. It explains the importance of effective marketing for the business and gives several strategies to achieve this.

UNIT 7: Business Communication - Report Writing

The seventh unit walks candidates through communication in business, what it entails, its objectives, types, elements, principles, functions and purposes. It also discusses the role, importance and types of Report Writing in Business communication and teaches candidates on how to write effective reports.

UNIT 8: Strategies for Managing Time Stress & Crisis

This introduces candidates to Time Management, teaches the different strategies for managing time, gives the different types of crisis and stress factors and explains how to prevent or manage crises and stress effectively. 

UNIT 9: Building Client Relationships

This unit focuses on professional relationships. The importance of having strong relationships with clients are uncountable and this unit equips candidates with the skills to build, strengthen and maintain client relationships.

UNIT 10: Team Management Skills

The last unit dishes out essential and strong team management skills and tools to lead any team and improve teamwork and communication. The types and examples of management skills, importance of effective team management are also discussed.
