A learning organization is a business term which is given to an organization that assists its own members in a learning process and continuously transforms itself. The organizations which do not focus on its worker's strength and never update them with new work skills can never be flourished and developed.
The concept of learning and developing in the organizations is emerging as the most fashionable or modern management trend in which workers are provided with the modern and updated work environment which is open for presenting creative thoughts and innovative ideas to solve ongoing work-concerned issues.
Learning organizations do the different tasks to promote the learning process of their employees such as creating a culture which encourages and supports continuous learning process of their employees, promoting critical thinking and new ideas, allow mistakes and take risks, give value to the contributions of the employee and learn from their experiences and experiments.
The unit provides a broad overview of a learning and organisational development, achieving personal mastery and the ladder of inference. It also describes the strategies for working with mental models, achieving a shared vision, team learning and systems thinking.
