An operational plan in business is a comprehensive plan which indicates how a section, a department or a team will give its contributions to achieve the strategic goals of an organization.
The action plans, monitoring plans and the operational plan are the key components of a complete strategic plan. Operational plan never exists as single standalone plan but the key components are incorporated with the other parts of the Strategic Plan.
